Bio
Alison Alleva, founder of Georgetown Massage & Bodywork, is a licensed massage therapist and certified integrative nutrition health coach with over two decades of experience in therapeutic care. Her path into bodywork began in 2001 while recovering from a horseback riding accident, when massage therapy played a pivotal role in her healing and sparked a deep appreciation for its restorative potential.
Alison completed her professional training at the National Massage Therapy Institute in Falls Church, Virginia, and opened her private practice in 2004. Her work is informed by a broad range of modalities, including deep tissue and sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic techniques, and Swedish massage. After more than eight years of maintaining a thriving solo practice, she expanded her vision—bringing together a team of the region’s most skilled and respected practitioners to form Georgetown Massage & Bodywork.
In 2018, Alison became a certified aromatherapist and developed a line of custom aromatherapy products for wellness and skin care, along with a hands-on DIY aromatherapy bar within the studio’s apothecary. She later completed her training as an integrative nutrition health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, further deepening her ability to support clients holistically—both on and off the table.
Alison and Georgetown Massage & Bodywork have been featured in The Washington Post, Washington Life, DC Refined, and other media outlets.
