Effective to reduce fluid retention, increase circulation, speed up injury recovery by regenerating damaged tissue, reduce pain and inflammation, support the body’s immune response, improve digestion, decrease chronic fatigue, and enhance the body’s natural detox process. For best results, combine with an infrared sauna treatment after massage.
Hot Stone Massage
A deeply relaxing massage session combining Swedish and deep tissues techniques with the addition of heated stones made from balsalt, a smooth volcanic rock. Warm stones are incorporated and used to relax the nervous system and ease muscle tension. The heat helps soften the tissue and allow the stones to be used as a tool for deeper myofascial work. Hot towels and a warm massage table make this treatment a comforting, therapeutic session.
Reiki | Energy Work
Energy healing targets the energy fields around the body and aims to move and clear stagnate areas where there has been physical injury or emotional pain. Practitioners channel and facilitate healing with the fundamental belief that the body has the innate ability to restore balance. Sessions are safe and non-invasive. Crystals, and essential oils can be incorporated into the session depending on the intention of the session.
Rooted in Chinese medicine, reflexology uses the meridian system and specific reflex points on the feet and hands to stimulate the circulatory system and reduce tension and pain around the body. This goal is to release blockages in the energy system and balance and restore flow. A deeply relaxing treatment that can ease muscle tension especially in the feet and legs and bring an overall sense of relaxation and calm.
A restorative massage session with the addition of high quality organic hemp oil. CBD (cannabidiol) is a compound found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive and has many anti-inflammatory and pain relieving qualities. CBD helps to ease and relax your muscles when applied to skin as the cannabinoids enter our endocannabinoid system which helps regulate sleep, stress, appetite, and pain. Research shows that CBD can help reduce anxiety, improve sleep and relieve pain due to inflammation in muscles and joints.
Thai Yoga Massage
With roots in Ayurvedic Medicine, Thai yoga massage uses yoga-like stretching, compression, and meridian energy work to move the body, encourage organ function, and balance the nervous system.
Massage is performed on a plush floor mat and the client wears loose-fitted clothing. The gentle but deep stretching and compression work make this a great choice for athletic types or those trying to increase mobility. Often called the ‘lazy person’s yoga’. Be sure to wear soft, loose clothing to be stretched in.
Stretch + Compression Massage
Client wears loose-fitted comfortable clothes that allow assisted stretching on a massage table. A number of assisted stretching techniques are performed in combination with compression along energy lines in the body (sen lines). Great for athletes and those trying to improve flexibility and movement in joints and muscles.
Incorporate cupping into your massage session. Myofascial decompression, also known as Cupping Therapy, is a soft tissue technique in which a manual pump device or ‘cup’ is used to provide suction to skin and underlying tissue. This creates negative pressure on the tissue stimulating tissue healing through the body’s own natural inflammatory response. Helps release hypertonic, and over-used muscle, reduce scar tissue and myofascial adhesions, improve range of motion, and increase blood flow and nutrients to tissue.
