A restorative massage session using high-quality organic hemp oil to enhance the therapeutic actions of massage. CBD (cannabidiol) is a compound found in the cannabis plant that, unlike THC, is non-psychoactive and has many anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving qualities. CBD is absorbed through the skin and soft tissue to support the body’s nervous system and help alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, and myofascial pain.
Hot Stone Massage
A deeply relaxing massage session combining Swedish and deep tissues techniques with the addition of heated stones made from balsalt, a smooth volcanic rock. Warm stones are incorporated and used to relax the nervous system and ease muscle tension. The heat helps soften the tissue and allow the stones to be used as a tool for deeper myofascial work. Hot towels and a warm massage table make this treatment a comforting, therapeutic session.
Reiki | Energy Work | Pranic Healing
Energy healing targets the energy fields around the body and aims to move and clear stagnate areas where there has been physical injury or emotional pain. Practitioners channel and facilitate healing with the fundamental belief that the body has the innate ability to restore balance. Sessions are safe and non-invasive. Crystals, essential oils, and Oracle cards can be incorporated into the session depending on the intention of the session.
Rooted in Chinese medicine, reflexology uses the meridian system and specific reflex points on the feet and hands to stimulate the circulatory system and reduce tension and pain around the body. This goal is to release blockages in the energy system and balance and restore flow. A deeply relaxing treatment that can ease muscle tension especially in the feet and legs and bring an overall sense of relaxation and calm.
Hot Lava Shell Massage
Hot lava shell therapy uses beautiful hand-painted smooth shells made with porcelain and crushed tiger clamshells and filled with a mixture of minerals, algae, saltwater and essential oils which cause a chemical reaction that produces heat. Thai Yoga Massage
With roots in Ayurvedic Medicine, Thai yoga massage uses yoga-like stretching, compression, and meridian energy work to move the body, encourage organ function, and balance the nervous system.
Massage is performed on a plush floor mat and the client wears loose-fitted clothing. The gentle but deep stretching and compression work make this a great choice for athletic types or those trying to increase mobility. Often called the ‘lazy person’s yoga’. Be sure to wear soft, loose clothing to be stretched in.
A slow, gentle massage technique that manually aids the movement of lymph fluid throughout the body. Lymphatic drainage massage is effective to reduce fluid retention or lymphodema, increase circulation, speed up injury recovery by regenerating damaged tissue, reduce pain and inflammation, strengthen the body’s immune response, improve digestion, decrease chronic fatigue, and enhance the body’s natural detox process. For best results, combine with an infrared sauna treatment after massage.
Express Chair Massage
Need a mini massage break? Chair massage is an easy and convenient way to get fast relief from pain and stress. Massage is performed over the clothes on a comfortable ergonomic chair in our relaxing waiting area. Areas of focus are neck, shoulders, back, and arms. Effective for tension headaches, upper and lower back pain , or shoulder and arm pain. Availability varies, so please call to reserve an appointment time.
Compression + Stretch Session
Massage is performed on the table while client wears loose fitted clothing. Assisted stretching and compression techiques include pressing into muscle and releasing, pin and stretch, rocking, joint mobilization and muscles lengthening. Style is influenced by Shiatsu and Thai bodywork.
Myofascial Cupping Therapy
Incorporate cupping into your massage session. Myofascial decompression, also known as Cupping Therapy, is a soft tissue technique in which a manual pump device or ‘cup’ is used to provide suction to skin and underlying tissue. This creates negative pressure on the tissue stimulating tissue healing through the body’s own natural inflammatory response. Helps release hypertonic, and over-used muscle, reduce scar tissue and myofascial adhesions, improve range of motion, and increase blood flow and nutrients to tissue.
